I was really pleased this week when we sold another business for our long time client Martin Bray and his partner Chelsie. They have built the Trawlers Catch at Yeadon up to a very good business in the time they've owned it. The Tripadvisor website confirms this below.
All at Ernest Wilson wish Mrs Taj the very best in her acquisition and likewise martin & Chelsie in their purchase of Hennie Penny in Mirfield which they bought through Ernest Wilson.
Ernest Wilson reviews all our sales regularly and its tremendous news that the volume of sales keep increasing month on month.
Taking advantage of a Groupon deal, I visited the Trawlers Catch at 1:15 today (15 Nov '16) with a friend after pre-booking (a requirement on the Groupon voucher) yesterday. On arrival the restaurant was deserted and appeared rather drab in comparison to the much bigger and flashy Fish & Chip restaurant very close by. However, as we ventured cautiously in... More
On our return from Benidorm we called at The Trawlers Catch with a Groupon Voucher. We had a delicious meal of fish chips mushy peas bread cake and tea for 2.They deserved full marks
Once a week me and my mum pick my Grandad up and take him to Wetherby Whalers, as they have been the best fish and chips in the district for the past year or so. Murgatroyds has gone from bad to worse with the fish being nothing more than a massive chunk of tasteless meat, and we had never really... More
We had takeaway chips from here several years ago when it was the fountain and decided to use a Groupon voucher deal which gave two people fish and chips with peas, bread roll and butter plus tea or coffee. We booked in for Sunday and went into a pleasantly decorated and cosily warm, but deserted, restaurant. This is a great... More
Used to go to murgatroyds without fail but they have gotten worse and worse. Tried here and was not disappointed, been 3 times now and been great every time. Recommended to so many people. Lovely well cooked fish and chips and great value.
We took friends who were visiting from Scarborough and who are accustomed to good fish and chips. They were very pleased with the food and with Laura, who was very pleasant and efficient. Unfortunately, no other customers whilst we were there. Their loss. Murgatroyds also good but we would like to see Trawlers Catch have the trade they deserve.
Tasty haddock with a wonderful crispy batter crisp chips and a small dish of mushy peas with a large bread roll on the side served with a pot of tea excellently served in a delightful modern fish & chip restaurant.
Went on a Sunday lunchtime, as we had a groupon voucher. Very quite which must be due to Murgatroyds being just across the road. Service & food are first class and if you don't want somewhere as busy as Murgatroyds then this is the place. Only thing that I would say is that they don't have a lot of parking.
