Waggon & Horses, Oxenhope - Reopens
I was pleased to see the Waggon & Horses re-open last week. This was bought through Ernest Wilson last year.
Ernest Wilson reviews the market regularly so it's good to see the Waggon & Horses has had a positive start if the TripAdvisor reviews are anything to go by

Instruction to completion in just 10 weeks
I was delighted when Absolutely Fabulous beauty salon completed earlier this week - just 10 weeks after the vendor instructed us.
Superbly appointed and presented beauty salon ideally located on this popular high street in the Leeds area. The business was established in 1997 and has established a super client base over this time frame and only opens four days per week. Our client is selling for genuine reasons and we strongly recommend viewing in order to fully appreciate the potential here. The premises are held on a secure lease with very sensible rent. Taking £700 weekly. TREMENDOUS POTENTIAL AND SCOPE HERE AND PRICED TO SELL. A two storey building on the main street very close to one of the towns free car parks. The premises briefly comprise a good sized reception area with 2 nail stations and a reception desk, to the rear is a treatment room and a further open plan pedicure area, to the first floor is a further 3 treatment rooms.
Awaiting EPC.
Stock approx £1400/£1500

Another Ernest Wilson Sale hitting the headlines
Ernest Wilson handled the sale of the unit at 3-5, Sunbridge Road, Bradford and wish My Thai much success in their latest site.
Former Bradford hotel boss tastes success
12 hrs ago
FORMER city centre hotel manager Simon Grybas is carving out a new and successful career as a restaurant owner.
Simon, 33, who left the Great Victoria hotel around three years ago after seven years as general manager, now co-owns a growing chain of My Thai eateries across the North which he runs with business partner Apiyada “Bee” Laltham.
Simon first became involved through being a regular diner at Bee’s My Thai restaurant on Keighley Road,Frizinghall.
Their latest venture is an informal city centre diner at the bottom of Sunbridge Road in Bradford.
The My Thai chain ranges from formal venues to totally informal outlets serving street food.
The nine-strong chain includes venues in Manchester, Bury, two in Leeds, including the former Old Steps bar site, and a York restaurant in addition to Bradford.
More expansion is planned, including a second Manchester site.
Simon said the emphasis is on a friendly, informal atmosphere and affordable authentic Thai cuisine
He said: “All the menus are different at each site but customers can expect all the Thai classics at every branch. Our formula is proving very popular and since 2014 we have been able to expand quickly.”
The restaurants serve fresh produce bought every day with herbs imported weekly from Thailand.
Simon said Bee used her Buddhist background to ensure that each restaurant is “free from bad karma” and won’t open a new site if there is a similar offering nearby so as not to harm another business.
Simon, who worked at Bradford’s Dubrovnic hotel for a spell after leaving the Great Victoria, said he was particularly pleased to have opened a My Thai branch in Bradford which he hopes will help attract more people into the city centre.
“The business has gone extremely well since we launched and I am very excited about the prospects. We have managed to successfully tap into people’s changing tastes, “ he said.

Trawlers Catch, Yeadon - Sold
I was really pleased this week when we sold another business for our long time client Martin Bray and his partner Chelsie. They have built the Trawlers Catch at Yeadon up to a very good business in the time they've owned it. The Tripadvisor website confirms this below.
All at Ernest Wilson wish Mrs Taj the very best in her acquisition and likewise martin & Chelsie in their purchase of Hennie Penny in Mirfield which they bought through Ernest Wilson.
Ernest Wilson reviews all our sales regularly and its tremendous news that the volume of sales keep increasing month on month.
Visit the Ernest Wilson, Leeds website at http://www.ernest-wilson.co.uk for all our business for sale and Fish & Chips shops for sale.

Taking advantage of a Groupon deal, I visited the Trawlers Catch at 1:15 today (15 Nov '16) with a friend after pre-booking (a requirement on the Groupon voucher) yesterday. On arrival the restaurant was deserted and appeared rather drab in comparison to the much bigger and flashy Fish & Chip restaurant very close by. However, as we ventured cautiously in... More

Once a week me and my mum pick my Grandad up and take him to Wetherby Whalers, as they have been the best fish and chips in the district for the past year or so. Murgatroyds has gone from bad to worse with the fish being nothing more than a massive chunk of tasteless meat, and we had never really... More

We had takeaway chips from here several years ago when it was the fountain and decided to use a Groupon voucher deal which gave two people fish and chips with peas, bread roll and butter plus tea or coffee. We booked in for Sunday and went into a pleasantly decorated and cosily warm, but deserted, restaurant. This is a great... More

Used to go to murgatroyds without fail but they have gotten worse and worse. Tried here and was not disappointed, been 3 times now and been great every time. Recommended to so many people. Lovely well cooked fish and chips and great value.

We took friends who were visiting from Scarborough and who are accustomed to good fish and chips. They were very pleased with the food and with Laura, who was very pleasant and efficient. Unfortunately, no other customers whilst we were there. Their loss. Murgatroyds also good but we would like to see Trawlers Catch have the trade they deserve.

Went on a Sunday lunchtime, as we had a groupon voucher. Very quite which must be due to Murgatroyds being just across the road. Service & food are first class and if you don't want somewhere as busy as Murgatroyds then this is the place. Only thing that I would say is that they don't have a lot of parking.
