More encouraging news..........

Over the last 12 months we have seen a steady increase in the volume of sales being completed which is obviously good news. This trend is indicative of a returning confidence amongst purchasers within the small and medium business sector.

Today's encouraging news is the increase over the last three months in the average sale price of businesses sold and in particular the volume of freehold sales being achieved.

With the banks apathy towards assisting small businesses in recent years it seems that there is light at the end of the tunnel with Ernest Wilson placing several substantial loans and mortgages with various banks and lenders.

Oak Glen development gets new dental prctice

I'm pleased to confirm that one of the last units at the prestigious Oak Glen development in Eldwick, Bingley has been completed this morning.

Ernest Wilson were appointed the managing agent of this scheme when the developer bought the land and we have been instrumental from day one. In what have been challenging economic times we have no complaints that the site is almost full within 6 months of practical completion with a GP surgery, pharmacy, convenience store and day nursery all operational all ready.

David Royston, who is opening Oak Glen Dental Surgery, is hoping to be fitted out and trading by September, providing a wonderful amenity to the village.

New bar opening in Hipperholme, Halifax

There were no complaints from me this morning when I received an invitation to the opening night of a wine bar in Halifax.

The Greenwood family from Halifax are to open a new bar in Hipperholme following the acquisition of the Lease through Ernest Wilson. Completion of the Lease happened in May and following an extensive refurbishment 'The Tan House' is set to open its doors to the public on 6th July 2011.

Chris & Debbie Greenwood have owned the Yorkshireman Restaurant in Hipperholme for many years and have built a super reputation in the area for fine hospitality. It is in fact their son Robert who will be operating the new Bar and Chris & Debbie have no complaints that Robert has chosen the 'fly the nest' and open his first business.
